RC-WinTrans X8 is a software localization tool for Windows Win32 software, Microsoft .NET software, and Java properties files.
A .NET Forms Editor makes it possible to edit .NET Forms with support for .NET-specific technologies such as Forms and controls inheritance, display of custom controls, user-defined properties, and custom editors.
RC-WinTrans X8 uses the .NET Framework 1.1 and is prepared to support .NET 2.0 based on functionality and run-time testing with the .NET Beta Version 2. RC-WinTrans’ .NET Forms Editor has been expanded to include the new standard Form elements that will become available with .NET 2.0.
Linguistic and software-specific validation functions ensure quality, accuracy, and smooth performance in the translated software. Examples of linguistic validation functions are the spell check and check for consistently translated text items. Software-specific checks include checks for missing or incorrect placeholders, doubled or missing hotkeys, and overlapping dialog box elements.
Translation is supported by dictionaries that can take the form of either simple text files or TRADOS translation memories.
The integration of Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) combined with the powerful RC-WinTrans X8 object model (COM automation) affords the user maximum control over the localization process with the ability to modify and extend the RC-WinTrans application, apply advanced localization features, and integrate translation and workflow processes.
RC-WinTrans supports all languages that are available for Microsoft Windows (Western and Eastern European, Asian, and Middle Eastern). |

RC-WinTrans X8 ist ein Software-Lokalisierungstool für Windows Win32 Software, Microsoft .NET Software und Java Properties Dateien.
Ein .NET Forms Editor erlaubt das Editieren von .NET Forms mit Berücksichtigung .NET spezifischer Techniken wie Forms und Controls Vererbung, Visualisierung von “Custom Controls”, Unterstützung von benutzerdefinierten Properties und die Möglichkeit verfügbare “Custom Editors” zu nutzen.
RC-WinTrans X8 nutzt das .NET Framework 1.1 und ist vorbereitet für .NET 2.0 auf Basis von Funktions- und Laufzeittest mit .NET 2.0 Beta Version 2. Der .NET Forms Editor wurde für die neuen standard Form Elemente erweitert, die mit .NET 2.0 verfügbar werden.
Sprachenbezogene und Software spezifische Validierungsfunktionen sichern Qualität und eine fehlerfreie Funktionalität der übersetzten Software. Sprachliche Validierungsfunktionen sind z.B eine Rechtschreibprüfung und eine Überprüfung auf konsistente Übersetzungen aller in der Software enthaltenen Texte. Software spezifische Überprüfungen sind u.a. fehlende oder falsche “Placeholders”, doppelte oder fehlende “Hotkeys” in Dialogen und Menüs und Überlappungen von Dialogelementen.
Das Übersetzen wird durch Wörterbücher unterstützt wobei einfache Textdatei basierende Wörterbücher als auch “Translation Memories” von TRADOS eingesetzt werden können.
Die Erweiterbarkeit und Anpassungsfähigkeit der RC-WinTrans Applikation, Lokalisierungsfunktionen und Verarbeitungsabläufen bietet das integrierte Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in Kombination mit dem leistungsfähigen RC-WinTrans X8 Objektmodell (COM Automation).
Es werden alle Ländersprachen für die auch Microsoft Windows verfügbar ist unterstützt (Länder: West und Ost Europa, Asien, Naher Osten). |
