SilkCentral Performance Manager ist ein einzigartiges Applikations Performanz Managagement System für geschäftskritische Anwendungen welche die Qualität der Applikation aus Endbenutzersicht anhand aller relevanten Dimensionen mißt: Verfügbarkeit, Performanz und Akkuratheit (funktionale Integrität). Mittels aktiven Monitoring, welches auf auf synthetischen Business Transaktionen basiert, werden Service-levels und Applikations-Performanz aus Endbenutzersicht überwacht. Im gegensatzt dazu erlaubt Passivies Monitoring das Verhalten von "echten" Endbenutzern zu verstehen, bis hin zum Nachstellen von echten Fehlerfällen.
