Was ist Web Services Interoperability Organisation ?

Web Services Interoperability Organisation (WS-I), inzwischen Teil von OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards), definiert sogenante Webservice-Profile, die eine bestimmten Satz von Webservices-Techniken umfasst. Es soll eine einfache Kompatibilität zwischen Webservices erreicht werden. Ein Anbieter, der ein bestimmtes Profile implementiert, soll sich darauf verlassen können, mit einere Gegenseite, die das gleiche Profil implementiert, problemlos kommunizieren zu können.
